There are some great Dining and Restaurant Apps like Yelp, Foursquare, EAT24, Urbanspoon and OpenTable. I am using apps and find my place easily.
Usually i'd go for my friends who i know share the same taste as i do.. so they are...
...My Most Reliable..
source of information.. as no matter how many star ratings might a joint get, if your taste buds aren't on for it.. then they are merely decorations on the menu!!!

The Other way is to obviously look for good ratings in the apps... and Finally...
...THE Most Reliable... but
also the most time consuming is to go out for restaurants and joints yourself and check...!!!
I usually will just check out random restaurants in my neighborhood and if that's failing me i will go and check yelp for restaurants in my area which usually works pretty well actually.
- Read local publications and posts from local food bloggers
- Ask local people
- Avoid eating near the biggest tourist attractions in town- They have too much sales, less time and often cook in the same oil
- Download essential apps
- Look for customer queue
I am using TripAdvisor. You can find restaurants near you from 6 million restaurants worldwide with 600 million reviews and opinions from TripAdvisor travelers. Best thing to do, i would recommend you to do the same.
