If you write a book about failure and it doesn't sell, is it a success?

Well, success depends on what the author is trying to achieve by writing the book in first place. If the author was trying to depict the failures of writing, then he actually succeeded in that :)

When you Write a Book about Failure using your Past experiences, only people who don't want to make those mistakes which you have made in your life will Buy it.
Other People who see it as a Negative Vibe will only Make those mistakes to learn from it.

So it is Always wise to Buy Book about Mistakes in Life.

It is not surely a success, but not a failure too.

Not really a success.

Yes :D I'm sure there are a lot of good stories no one never heard about out there, this book would be one of them.

In my opinion, no. The way you've phrased your question leads me to think that sales of this book would determine its success. When it doesn't sell it can't be a success, no matter what the topic is. Regardless of sales, you'd still want people to at least acknowledge your work and probably learn from it, and in this case as well it wouldn't be a success if people won't consume it. So, no.

No because usually the book about failure is about past failures and how to overcome it. This shows that you haven't overcome your failures.
