Is free will real or just an illusion?

Apparently they average of precision of someone answer is 60% so at best it shows a tendency and nothing like the absence of free will. Who has never felt the urge to so something without any rational reason for it (for instance something we know would be bad for us) and will may do it 2 times out of 3 but sometimes will still manage to decide against it? I think that prove there is intrinsic process into the brain that may push us toward a specific behavior but we still have the free will to do it or not.

~~ Nothing is Free in Life... ~~

That is what we have been told time and again and that is what we know.. and that is surely the Truth!!!

God has given everyone Free Will.. (if you believe in the God Energy) and that most certainly is True, we do have free will. We are free to think and do what we like.. the only catch is that, God also decreed that there shall also be consequences to every action.. so life is a set of - If - Then - Else - kind of flow chart.. that's how karmic balance or imbalances are manifested by us and that is the way the universe polices us..

On the other hand Even if you don't believe in a God Energy, your life is still a logical set of - If - Then - Else - flow chart however that is as long as it goes according to the planned - If - Then - Else - there would be points in time when you won't be able to figure out why something happens out of sync and shrug it off as freak incidents or coincidence.. then that becomes your label for God Energy..

We are ALL free willed beings but free will is a package deal, it should never be seen in isolation.. the pack is named FWnC .. Free will n Consequences..
it's simple as that!!!

Well, it depends. If you believe that everything that you do has been predestined, that whatever choice you make is certainly not out of your free will is it? The choices that you are going to make has already been known by higher forces. From this point of view, free will is certainly non existant and that you have been destined to walk that which have been set for you.
But if you do not beliefe in fate and that fate is what you make it to be, then the idea of free will is certainly legit. You control your own destiny. You choose whatever you want to do and whatever you think is best for you.

We all have free will for sure but if you want certain things in life then you have to play the game so to speak.

Free will is real, nothing is illusion. All the actions, inactions and decision we have made are by choice even if we are forced or persuaded, it's we who made it. For example, if you're listening to a radio, does the radio change to different channels by itself? NO
you exercise your free will by changing it to the station you loved not that the radio would force you to choose what the station the radio wants on its own on you.

I think that first of all showing something happened in the brain before a conscious decision occurs just shows something we already know; lots of thing happened in our subconscious before we become aware of it.

Free will is real, hence your way of thought and the actions you take to back those thoughts up

It seems obvious to me that I have free will. When I have just made a decision, say, to go to a concert, I feel that I could have chosen to do something else. Yet many philosophers say this instinct is wrong. According to their view, free will is a figment of our imagination. No one has it or ever will. Rather our choices are either determined or necessary outcomes of the events that have happened in the past or they are random.
