What do you think of Dr. Jordan Peterson?

Peterson’s allusive style makes critiquing him like trying to nail jelly to a cloud, but I have tried to indicate alternatives to his assumptions about morality, individualism, reality, and the meaning of life. If you go for Christian mythology, narrow-minded individualism, obscure metaphysics, and existentialist angst, then Jordan Peterson is the philosopher for you.

He has some dangerous ideas. He says that "being can be corrected by becoming”

I think he could be the culture war’s Weapon X.

I love that one of our brightest modern day philosophers (IMO) came from a background of clinical psychology. It is very refreshing to see someone back up their ideas with actual scientific literature. The way he goes about really listening to people and trying to completely understand their questions or criticisms before responding to them is an example our society is in desperate need of.

Since his confrontation with Cathy Newman, the Canadian academic’s book has become a bestseller. But his arguments are riddled with ‘pseudo-facts’ and conspiracy theories

Not everybody is persuaded that Peterson is a thinker of substance, however. Last November, fellow University of Toronto professor Ira Wells called him “the professor of piffle” – a YouTube star rather than a credible intellectual. Tabatha Southey, a columnist for the Canadian magazine Macleans, designated him “the stupid man’s smart person”.

He is a master of facts and rational thinking. He can easily annihilate all the people giving their opinions on gender and caste inequality without even understating it or doing a little bit of research. I think we need more people like him.

I think he's brilliant and genuine! I completely agree with his views on free speech and his book "12 Rules for Life" is a must read!
